Robert Fellowes Chisholm Biennial Memorial Colloquium 2013
Saturday 07 September 2013 will be remembered for some time to come – as with Huge engagement the Indian Institute of Architects Celebrated & paid tribute to an Architect who has Shaped Baroda & defined its identity
& the event & all the other things that happened around that – would go a long way in bringing a larger awareness about this individual & his exemplary work in Baroda between 1880 & 1915. Participation was unprecedented with over 700 students in all participating in the various events.
Note that I I A had brought in globally renowned architect & master planner Charles Correa to Kick start this series in 2010-11- who at that time had clearly stated that
“Robert Chisholm & his work in the Indian Subcontinent was even more significant than even Edwin Lutyens- who planned the city of New Delhi & who was also the Architect of the Viceroys palace now known as the Rastrapati Bhavan”
