HERITAGE WALK OF CITY OF JOY, MANDU
An initiative by Heritage committee of IIA, MP Chapter
in association with BUILDING GIANTS on 22 & 23 March 2014.
Mandu or Mandavgad is a ruined city in the present-day Mandav area of Dhar district. It is located in the Malwa region of
western Madhya Pradesh, India, at 35 km from Dhar city. In the 11th century, Mandu was sub division of the Tarangagadh or Taranga kingdom. This fortress town on a rocky outcrop about 100 km (62 mi) from Indore is celebrated for its fine architecture.
IIA MP Chapter has finalized its team including Ar. Jitendra Mehta himself along with seasoned architects like Nitin M Ghule, Vineet Garg, Ajay Sharma, Arpit Kabra with architects couple Amber & Preeta Vyas. Team also consisted of Master Dhawal Bumb, a passionate architectural photographer who is also a student of Architecture.
BUILDING GIANTS team consisted of Anis Qureshi, Vivek Mehta & S.K. Tengshe.
